INTRO — DEEP BASS VOICE, SOFT PIANO
(Gentle piano notes. The deep male voice enters slowly, almost crying.)
Huuuuuuummmmmmmm...
Oh, Lord... have mercy on us.
All things of this world shall pass away...
Only Your Word will stand forever.
VERSE 1 — DEEP, EMOTIONAL BASS
Put your trust in people alone,
It is vanity upon vanity.
They may promise, they may fail,
But Holy God will never fail.
You came with nothing into this world,
And with nothing you will leave.
All that you gather, all that you own,
You cannot take beyond the grave.
CHORUS — BASS LEAD WITH SOFT CHOIR
LEAD: Vanity upon vanity!
CHOIR: All is vanity!
LEAD: People may fail you!
CHOIR: But God will never fail!
LEAD: Put your trust in the Lord!
CHOIR: He will never let you go!
ALL: When we leave this world behind,
Only God remains forever!
VERSE 2 — TENDER AND HEARTBREAKING
No one knows what comes tomorrow,
So be careful how you treat people.
The one you look down upon today
May be the one you need tomorrow.
Life will teach us many lessons,
Every day that we remain.
Choose kindness, show compassion,
Do not leave another heart in pain.
BRIDGE — SLOW PIANO, ALMOST CRYING
Oh, my Father, teach me kindness,
Keep pride far away from me.
When my days on earth are over,
Let my soul find peace in Thee.
Rich or poor, we all must leave,
Every crown will fade away.
Lord, help me live a life of love
Until I see Your face someday.
BIBLE VERSE — SPOKEN SOFTLY
Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Keep the faith. God can do what seems impossible. Trust His timing and never lose hope.
FINAL CHORUS — DEEP BASS AND POWERFUL SOFT CHOIR
Vanity upon vanity,
All the treasures fade away.
Holy God, You never fail,
You are faithful every day.
Teach us love before we leave,
Teach us kindness while we live.
All I have belongs to You,
Oh, my Lord, my life is Yours.
OUTRO — VERY SOFT PIANO
Huuuuuuummmmmmmm...
Only God will never fail...
Only God remains forever...
Amen... Amen...
