My daughter, my son, please stop and listen,
Your future is precious; let your dreams keep shining.
Why lie to your parents to meet someone secretly?
Is temporary attention worth risking your destiny?
“My darling, come over; I'll buy you a phone.
I'll give you free transport; you'll never be alone.”
But what if he deceives you, abandons you in pain?
Will that phone restore your dreams again?
My daughter, chapati is eaten, the phone will grow old,
But the price of a careless choice can be painful to hold.
Don't trade your education for promises that disappear;
Choose wisdom and courage; protect the future you hold dear.
Little girl in primary, your childhood is a treasure.
Secondary school sister, don't exchange your dreams for pleasure.
University daughter, freedom comes with responsibility;
Choose safe relationships, with respect and honesty.
Some secret meetings end in violence and despair;
Your safety is more precious than the gifts someone may share.
A person who respects you won't force you or control you;
True love respects your boundaries and the dreams inside you.
My son, don't deceive her or pressure her to fall.
A real man shows respect; he doesn't exploit at all.
Don't leave a girl with a baby and pretend you have no part;
A child deserves responsibility, not a broken heart.
And if you've already fallen, please don't give up today;
Seek help, return to learning, and find a wiser way.
Your past does not define you; your future can still shine;
With courage, care and guidance, your life can realign.
My daughter, my son, remember this today:
You may not become pregnant, but HIV is real.
Protect your health; seek facts and learn what you need to know.
Respect others, reject stigma, and let responsibility grow.
Before you lie, think twice.
Before you meet secretly, think twice.
Before you abandon school, think twice.
Before you pressure someone, think twice.
Your body deserves respect.
Your education deserves protection.
Your future deserves a chance.
