(Soft piano playing)
Oh, thank You Jesus for his life
My father, my confidant
You walked this earth with a brilliant mind
A chemical engineer, so gentle and kind
Deodatus Chanda, you traveled so far
Yet stayed humble right where we are
A peaceful soul who hated the fight
Now resting forever in His holy light (yes Lord)
Deodatus Chanda, my best friend, my guide
Now walking in glory by the Savior’s side (Glory!)
A heart full of peace, a cheerful sweet grace
Thank You Lord for the path he did trace
We’ll praise Him through tears, till we see you again
Amen, amen
You loved your children, your family so deep
A beautiful legacy we promise to keep
Two weeks have passed since you went to your home
But in God’s embrace, we know we’re not alone
Hallelujah, your spirit lives on
Deodatus Chanda, my best friend, my guide
Now walking in glory by the Savior’s side (Glory!)
A heart full of peace, a cheerful sweet grace
Thank You Lord for the path he did trace
We’ll praise Him through tears, till we see you again
Amen, amen
Rest in peace, my dear father
Deodatus, thank You Jesus
Amen
