Oh, lift your hands today
There is only one name that stands above the rest
I’ve been searching through the pages of the history of man
Trying to find a power that could help me understand
Can the name of any mortal man, put it to the test
Cast out the devil, heal the sick, and put the soul to rest?
I’ve looked at every idol and the heroes of the past
But their glory fades away, their shadows never last
I’m asking you a question, let the truth be heard today
Who has the power to wash our sins away?
No, no, only the name of Jesus guarantees our answers
He is the healer, He is the way, He is the only truth
No, no, only the name of Jesus keeps the soul from danger
He is the master, He is the King, He is the living proof
I hear the voices speaking, telling me to compromise
These hyper-grace preachers with the secrets in their eyes
But I’m sticking to the Gospel, to the rock that doesn’t move
Because the grace that I am living is the grace that He can prove
Don't let them tell you stories that lead you far from home
Keep your eyes upon the Savior, never ever roam
His name is higher, His name is strong, His name is reigning free
There’s no other name that could save a soul like me
No, no, only the name of Jesus guarantees our answers
He is the healer, He is the way, He is the only truth
No, no, only the name of Jesus keeps the soul from danger
He is the master, He is the King, He is the living proof
So in my humble submission, I lay it at His feet
Jesus is better than us, His mercy is so sweet
He walked the valley, He paid the price, He rose again for you
Yes Lord, He makes the broken spirit feel brand new
Thank You Jesus, for the power in Your name
It’s the same yesterday, today, and forever more the same
So walk with confidence and hold your head up high
There is a glory coming down from the open sky
Forget the teachings that diminish all the cost of love
And reach for something deeper, something from above
Jesus is the answer, He is the light within the dark
He puts the fire in your soul and gives a holy spark
Yes Lord, we praise Him for the life He chose to give
In His name alone we find the only way to live
No, no, only the name of Jesus guarantees our answers
He is the healer, He is the way, He is the only truth
No, no, only the name of Jesus keeps the soul from danger
He is the master, He is the King, He is the living proof
Jesus is better than us, hallelujah
Jesus is better than us, praise Him
Only the name of Jesus, yes Lord
Amen, amen, amen.
