Empire Gold Oh oh, Black Saturday, a shadow fell
But our God, He reigns, He sees it all
Ijere Moses, 17 years strong, from Ugboko land
Our hearts are heavy, we understand the pain,
Found by the river, gone too soon, a mystery, when I heard the story of ur Lost,
But even in the valley, Ochoooh, You are with us, yes, You see.
Chineke! Our strength and shield,You never leave our side,
Eseun Baba, God of all comfort, You wipe our tears away
Papa, You give us strength to face another day
Even in the sorrow, Your faithfulness remains
Ekwueme, You are God, You heal all pains!
Halleluyah!
Though grief may linger, hope springs eternal, we believe
For in Your presence, Lord, our broken hearts receive
A peace that passes understanding, a love that won't give up
Ijere's spirit rests in You, drinking from Your Holy Cup.
Praise the Lord!
Eseun Baba, God of all comfort, You wipe our tears away
Imela Papa, You give us strength to face another day
Even in the sorrow, Your faithfulness remains
Ekwueme, You are God, You heal all pains!
Glory!
You too much Papa, forever You are King!
Our Comforter, our everything! Amen!
