Chale, give honor to whom honor is due
Eii, Teacher Nkonde, we celebrate you today
When the morning sun hits the empty school yard
You are there waiting, working so hard
The learners were few, the path was so steep
But you sowed the seeds that you now help us reap
Teacher Nkonde, you never complain
You walk through the sun and you stand in the rain
With your head held high, you carry the flame
And we speak with pride when we mention your name
Oh, Teacher Nkonde, you carry your crown
You are the strongest man in this town
Through the silence and struggle, you’ve done your part
You lead every student with a golden heart
Happy Teachers Day, yeah, you deserve the best
May Jehovah bless you and give you rest
In a garden of ladies, you stand all alone
A king in the building, carving the stone
You know how they talk, how the words can fly fast
But you keep your peace, making sure we will last
You don’t need to fight, you just shine your light
You keep your spirit calm and your purpose bright
Teacher Nkonde, wonim? You are one of a kind
A rare gem of wisdom that is hard to find
Oh, Teacher Nkonde, you carry your crown
You are the strongest man in this town
Through the silence and struggle, you’ve done your part
You lead every student with a golden heart
Happy Teachers Day, yeah, you deserve the best
May Jehovah bless you and give you rest
Others might crumble, others might fold
But you stay steady, precious like gold
Eii, you carry the weight with a gentle smile
Walking this road for a long, long while
Chale, look at the growth that you helped us see
You made us the people we’re destined to be
So keep on shining, don’t ever look back
You’re leading the train right on the track
We see all the sacrifice, we see all the care
People like you are so incredibly rare
Teacher Nkonde, today is for you
For all of the goodness and all that is true
Oyiwa, we honor your work and your name
May the heavens recognize you and your fame
Oh, Teacher Nkonde, you carry your crown
You are the strongest man in this town
Through the silence and struggle, you’ve done your part
You lead every student with a golden heart
Happy Teachers Day, yeah, you deserve the best
May Jehovah bless you and give you rest
Keep your head high, Teacher Nkonde
You are a legend, a gift to us all
Chale, keep shining, keep shining
Happy Teachers Day, our hero
We love you, Nkonde
Yoo.
