(Ayy, yoh)
To the one who lights the way, Veronica
Eness is calling, yeah, we celebrating you
From the ground up, you keep moving, yeah
From Lufwanyama mine farm, you stood your ground
Where others ran, you stayed and wore the crown
Years went by, you planted seeds of gold
In every heart, a story to be told
Many teachers came and went their way
But you, Veronica, you chose to stay
Happy Teachers Day, my sister, you’re the best
In every station, you pass the ultimate test
You don’t complain, you answer to the call
You stand tall when the shadows try to fall
Veronica, we celebrate your light today
You are the pride of the path you lay
Then Katende school, you stayed for many years
Through the dusty roads, through the joy and tears
Then Katembula, a season in the sun
And now Greesly, your journey has begun
Through every transfer, you never asked me why
You kept your head up high beneath the Zambian sky
Happy Teachers Day, my sister, you’re the best
In every station, you pass the ultimate test
You don’t complain, you answer to the call
You stand tall when the shadows try to fall
Veronica, we celebrate your light today
You are the pride of the path you lay
Eness sees the strength behind your eyes
A woman built for glory, ready for the rise
You go where services are needed most
To a sister like you, we lift a toast
It ain’t about the place, it’s about the heart
You took the messy pieces and made them art
So keep on moving, sister, let your spirit glow
There is no limit to how far you’ll go
Happy Teachers Day, my sister, you’re the best
In every station, you pass the ultimate test
You don’t complain, you answer to the call
You stand tall when the shadows try to fall
Veronica, we celebrate your light today
You are the pride of the path you lay
Yeah, we celebrating you, Veronica
From the mine farm to the world
Eness loves you, we see you
Keep rising, teacher
(Ayy, yoh, we rise)
