Oh, what a joy, what a day
We celebrate the love that God has made
(Yes Lord! Glory!)
I remember way back in our secondary school days
Two different worlds, but God was mapping out our ways
I saw that pretty girl, didn't know what was in store
That she’d be the one I’d cherish and forevermore
They said that young love would fade away and die
But we kept the faith and we kept our eyes on the sky
From school uniforms to the life we build today
Lord, thank You for the path that led her to stay
Oh, she’s my crown, she’s my Queen, my heart
From the very beginning, we never walked apart
That same sweet smile that caught me long ago
Is the light of my life, watch the blessing grow
Happy birthday to the one, my beautiful wife
Yes Lord, You gave me the best gift of my life
(Praise Him! Hallelujah!)
Supportive partner, you do it without any noise
In a world of chaos, you are my only poise
You lift up my spirit when the days are looking gray
Through every season, you’re the words I need to say
Your wisdom is a treasure, your kindness is a flame
Every single day, I’m thanking God for your name
You pray for our future, you stand in the gap
I’m safely resting right here in your loving lap
(Thank You Jesus! Yes Lord!)
Every year is a witness, every year is a song
God knew exactly where you and I belong
We grow in the garden that the Spirit has sown
Better than any dream that I could have known
Raise a hallelujah for the years that we’ve shared
I’m standing in awe of how much we’ve been spared
So let the bells ring out, let the heavens rejoice
For the woman of my dreams, my one and only choice
I celebrate your life, I celebrate your grace
I see the glow of Heaven shining on your face
Many more seasons, many more miles to run
We’re walking together until the work is done
(Glory, glory, hallelujah!)
Happy birthday to my Queen, my heart, my soul
God’s perfect promise makes my spirit whole
Yes Lord, thank You for the life we’ve made
(Amen! Hallelujah!)
