(Smooth, clean electric guitar plucking notes, typical of classic Rumba style. Soft percussion enters.)
Shadrick (Spoken):
From the dusty streets to the beautiful homes we build today.
Brendah and I look back at where we started... young souls with nothing but big dreams.
Today, we are husbands, we are fathers, we are blessed.
Listen to our story.
Long-time friends, we shared the laughter and the pain,
Walking through the shadows, holding hands through the rain.
Look at Ernest and Racheal, oh what a beautiful sight!
Remember when love was a journey in the fading light?
We didn't have the silver, we didn't have the gold,
But we had a story that was waiting to be told.
College days were simple, just a dream inside our eyes,
Underneath the moonlight, beneath the open skies.
Oh, love is the rhythm, love is the song,
It’s the melody that carries us all along.
Through the seasons changing, through the ups and downs,
We found our heaven in this life we’ve found.
Yes, love is the rhythm, love is the song,
It’s the melody that keeps us strong.
Ernest and Racheal, forever in the dance,
Giving our hearts a second chance.
Years have rolled by, like the river to the sea,
You stood by me, Racheal, you were always there for me.
Ernest worked the harder days, building up the stone,
Creating a foundation, making sure we’re not alone.
Now the kids are laughing, running through the door,
Who could ask for blessing, who could ask for more?
We built it from the bottom, brick by heavy brick,
With a love so steady, and a bond so thick.
(Sebene section: melodic guitars take over with a gentle sway)
It wasn't always easy, sometimes we lost our way,
But we woke up every morning to a brand new day.
We learned to listen, we learned to forgive,
This is the beautiful way that we live.
(Guitars fade with a smooth, lingering rhythmic pulse)
Yeah, a beautiful sight.
From the dust to the stars.
Just you and me, forever.
Love is our song.
