(Oya, ginger it!)
Yeah, October 17th, call the whole city
It’s a royal affair today, you already know
Mazeedah, the queen is on the throne!
Early morning sun rising on your face
Seventeen of October, a beautiful grace
You move with the rhythm, you move with the light
My little sister, shining so bright
From the days of the small talk to where we are now
You wear the crown, girl, take a bow
No wahala today, only blessings in line
Everything about you is truly divine
Oh Mazeedah, it’s your day to glow
Queen of the house, let the celebration flow
Happy birthday, sister, you’re the best we know
Keep on rising, watch your garden grow
(E choke!)
Yeah, Mazeedah, the queen was born to shine
17th October, the stars align
Look at the way you handle your business
Intelligence and beauty, such a witness
Every step you take, the ground starts to shake
With the love and the joy that you always make
From Omolola, I’m sending you my love
A special gift from the heavens above
You’re the sister I cherish, the sister I keep
Your dreams are high, yeah, they run so deep
(See gobe, she too fine!)
Oh Mazeedah, it’s your day to glow
Queen of the house, let the celebration flow
Happy birthday, sister, you’re the best we know
Keep on rising, watch your garden grow
(No dulling!)
Yeah, Mazeedah, the queen was born to shine
17th October, the stars align
Celebrate the queen, let the talking drum talk
Watch her elegant stride in her royal walk
No competition, yeah, you stand alone
Mazeedah, you’re the boss, you’re the zone
Oh Mazeedah, it’s your day to glow
Queen of the house, let the celebration flow
Happy birthday, sister, you’re the best we know
Keep on rising, watch your garden grow
Yeah, it’s your season, girl
Seventeen of October, forever iconic
Much love from your sister, Omolola
Keep shining, queen, keep shining
(Ehen, oya dance!)
Happy birthday, Mazeedah!
